Introduction

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what is necessary for temperature regulation. It can significantly impact a person's quality of life, causing discomfort, embarrassment, and affecting daily activities. One effective treatment for hyperhidrosis is the use of botulinum toxin injections. The procedure involves injecting small amounts of botulinum toxin into the affected areas, such as the underarms, palms, or soles of the feet. Botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat gland activity, reducing the production of sweat. The treatment is minimally invasive, relatively quick, and generally well-tolerated. The effects can last for several months, providing significant relief from excessive sweating. Repeat treatments may be necessary to maintain the desired results.
