Why Thermage FLX® at
Studio Montecosmet® ?

At Studio Montecosmet®, we adopt our very own unique transdermal revitalisation protocol to address signs of aging such as fine lines, loss of elasticity and dullness of the skin by targeting at all layers of the skin. Thermage FLX® uses monopolar radiofrequency technology to heat the deeper layers of the skin, causes collagen fibres to contract, resulting in immediate skin tightening and collagen remodelling. The skin after a single treatment is smoother and tighter, with results that continue to improve over time. In order to achieve the optimum result, our Counter Aging Expert uses ultrasonic hydrodermabrasion to enhance the skin hydration, which can boost the collagen production after the Thermage FLX® treatment. LED light therapy combined with our Global Age Defence Ultra Lifting Serum will further reduce the fine lines and soothe the skin after the treatment, minimising the downtime to almost zero

How Thermage FLX® works ?

Collagen is a protein that is found throughout the body, accounting for approximately 30% of total protein content. It plays a critical role in maintaining the structure and elasticity of the skin. In the skin, collagen fibres form a network that helps to maintain the skin's structure and prevent thinning, sagging and wrinkling. On average, it takes about three to four weeks for the body to produce new collagen. However, collagen synthesis in aged human skin may take up to twice as long as in young skin. As we age, the production and quality of collagen begins to decline, which leads to a loss of elasticity and support in the skin. It can also be exacerbated by environmental factors such as sun exposure and smoking, which can damage existing collagen fibres and decrease the production of new collagen. However, there are a number of ways that can be used to help maintain collagen production and prevent these changes

Other than leading a healthy lifestyle and the use of skincare products that stimulate collagen synthesis, high-grade radiofrequency therapy stimulates the growth of collagen, giving better contour to the areas treated and delay aging process. Thermage FLX® Skin Tightening is the world-leading non-invasive skin tightening treatment designed to reverse aging process by using radiofrequency energy to heat the dermal layers, triggering a natural collagen response that stimulates the production of new collagen fibres. The radiofrequency energy used in Thermage FLX® penetrates the skin's surface to heat the deep layers of the skin, also known as the dermis. The heat causes the collagen fibres in the dermis to contract, creating an immediate and lasting tightening effects

Thermage FLX® uses the latest monopolar, capacitively coupled radiofrequency system using AccuREP™ technology performed over 3 million treatments worldwide. This patented technology is designed to deliver the radiofrequency energy precisely and evenly to the skin's deep layers. This technology ensures that the heat is delivered to the right depth and at the right temperature to stimulate collagen production without damaging the skin's surface. Thermage FLX® works by separating water molecules from collagen in the dermis, giving an instant tightening effect and reduction in skin laxity. The dermis is composed of about 80% collagen, with type I collagen being the most abundant which is responsible for providing support and elasticity to the skin. The heat from the focused radiofrequency energy causes a controlled injury to the skin's deep layers, triggering a natural healing response. This response involves the production of new collagen and elastin fibres, which help to rebuild the skin's structure and improve its elasticity over time

The heat generated by the radiofrequency energy also helps to stimulate the activity of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and other connective tissue fibres. The heat triggers the fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin fibres, and to release growth factors that stimulate the production of new cells. The production of new collagen and elastin fibres is a gradual process that takes several months to become visible. As the new collagen fibres start to form, they create a denser and more organised network of fibres that replace the old and damaged collagen fibres. This state-of-the-art treatment stimulates new collagen production to strengthen the tightening of the skin for up to 3 years, produces very minimal to almost zero patient downtime, and can be used to treat on most areas of the body such as arms, thighs, abdomen and buttock other than eyes, face and neck
